We are seeking a Project Manager with construction management expertise for maintenance projects within land facilities for the Ferry Service at the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).

This is a consultancy assignment based in Stockholm. The assignment is expected to last four months, with the possibility of extension.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork skills.

The Assignment

As a project support at Trafikverket Ferry Service, you will work closely with operations to coordinate and follow up on maintenance and repair activities at ferry terminals and associated facilities. The role includes responsibility for procurement, monitoring contractors and consultants, and ensuring that work meets requirements regarding technology, quality, environment, and working conditions. You will also contribute to knowledge transfer to Trafikverket's staff.

Responsibilities

Award contracts to contractors performing repair/maintenance work at our ferry terminals.

Conduct construction meetings where technology, quality, environment, and working conditions are followed up.

Award contracts to consultants performing various technical investigations.

Follow up on the consultant's work and be able to present the results to those affected by the investigation.

Order inspections above and below water. Follow up on inspections and review more urgent action proposals.

Requirements (NOTE: Mandatory)

Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Experience working in project groups where coordination has been important.

Class B driver's license.

At least 3 years of work experience as a project manager in the relevant technical field. Work experience must not be older than 10 years.

Knowledge of laws and regulations, as well as standards and ordinances within the relevant area.

Technical responsibility for building structures in at least 6 assignments within the last 10 years. Sub-assignments within larger projects may also be counted towards the number of design assignments. Of these 6 assignments, experience from at least 3 must be from Ferry Terminals, Harbors, Quays, and/or Piers.

Experience of being responsible for leading the subject area of building structures during design in corresponding projects containing Ferry Terminals, Harbors, Quays, and/or Piers.

Requirement of work experience as a construction manager or in a leading function from comparable assignments regarding e.g. the design and construction process.
